International Workers Day: Here are B'town actors who worked as labour!

International workers day or labour day has its origin in the labour union movement from the United States. You might have thought many times about who were those who decided of working eight-hours at work-station? The labour union had their initial demands of working eight hours, eight hours for recreation and eight hours for rest. 

1st May is marked as a public holiday and celebrated by 75% of countries in the world. In India, this day was first organised in 1921 in Madras now Chennai. It is also called as Antarrashtriya Shramik Diwas in Hindi. 

Well, talking about Bollywood stars who worked as labour before grabbing the platform of fame, here are those. Check Out! 
  
Akshay Kumar - Waiter

'Rustom' actor Akshay Kumar who is listed on the fifth position of India's richest actors had a struggling journey during his beginning days in these world of glamour. The journey which he had decided to be in (Bollywood) is not everyone's cup of tea. Born in Punjabi family in Amritsar, the shifted in Delhi and stayed near Chandni Chowk. Later he moved with his family in Mumbai and completed his schooling. 

But Akki had a lot to go with and later he went to Bangkok for learning Martial Arts. He wanted to pursue it more to the advanced level but couldn't due to the financial crisis. As the star was not financially versed, he did waiters job for a very long time.           

Rajinikanth - Conductor

Megastar Shivaji Rao Gaekwad aka Rajinikanth did bus conductor's job before he entered in the world of glamour and showed off his excellence. Born in Mysore in a middle-class family, the actor lost his mother when he was just nine. Going through a very bad phase the star survived doing carpenter, coolie's job.       

Nawazuddin Siddiqui - Watchmen 

Everyone knows that how difficult it is to survive in the glamour world. It is said that everything depends on your luck and star signs but here with actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, everything is all about sheer hard work, passion and dedication. 

Belonging to a farmers family the actor got shifted Noida to pursue acting course from National School Of Drama. Somehow due to financial crisis, Nawaz started doing a watchmen job. The star before enrolling in NSD did the watchmen's job at a toy factory in Noida. Later he also got fired as the owner saw him sitting three times.              

Dharmendra - Plumber 

The "He-Man" of Indian cinema didn't make it overnight and had to go through a lot during his struggling days. The star worked as a plumber and slept empty stomach for several days. Who knew that someday Dharmendra will be honoured with Padma Bhushan, and several National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards.
