'That’s My Girl': Pulkit Samrat's ex Shweta Rohira on her successful debut

Actor Shweta Rohira is ecstatic after the success of her play titled ‘That’s My Girl’. The actor says that she is thrilled to have received such positive feedback. While interacting with Star Dhamaka, she says, “It’s like a dream that I am living right now. The kinds words and appreciation is what’s making me look forward to performing more now”

Ask her which was her the best compliment that she received, and she says, “I wish I could zero down on one but I can’t. Everyone has said something that’s touched my heart and made me super happy.”

The actor says that she never expected herself to perform so well on the stage. “Actually, I didn’t give this so much thought. Here, the credit goes totally to Bharat Dabholkar sir, my director and my producer Mohan Azaad sir, who had faith in me…also Anant Mahadevan sir, who made me very comfortable while performing. I just surrendered to them,” she says.

Ask her if it was challenging to learn all the dialogues, and she says, “My mom always said I was a parrot, so learning answers in school helped today in learning dialogues, I guess!”

Shweta says that she loves the fact that theatre has no retakes. “I always believe in the mantra ‘live one day at a time’ or live in the moment. Performing theatre is just that. The play helps me with living in the present,” she says.

Talking about future plans, she says she has a lot on her wishlist. “The list can go on…I would love to do more short films, web series, movies. I want to do all that excites me and gives me a chance to perform.”
