John Abraham to play cop in politically sensitive ‘Batla House’!

Bollywood hunk John Abraham and his close friend director Nikkhil Advani has teamed up to produce a movie – ‘Batla House’. The movie is slated to go on the floor from September this year.

‘Batla House’ is based on a sizzling police encounter that had snowballed into a major political controversy – and which had invited praise and criticisms at the same time over the detection of two holed-up Indian Mujahedeen terrorists in a seedy locality of East Delhi – Okhla, way back in 2008. Praised for the Delhi police’s dare devilry and criticized for a Congress senior politician’s controversial ‘comments’ questioning police actions.

During the police raid, firing ensued from both the sides and one police officer of the Delhi Police had succumbed to ultra’s bullets.

The movie once hitting big-screen is bound to stir hornet’s nest due to politically volatile nature of the plot.

Tweeting on microblogging site, Bollywood analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “@taran_adarsh - John Abraham and director Nikkhil Advani team up again... Nikkhil will direct John in #BatlaHouse... Starts Sept 2018... Written by Ritesh Shah... Will be filmed in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Nepal... Nikkhil last directed John in #SalaamEIshq.”
