About the narrative…

After a long sabbatical the two superstars - Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor appeared on the big screen together – the last time they were paired in a 1991 movie “Ajooba”. Tall and lanky Amitabh with his baritone and same youthful gait is the 102-year-old dad-dearest of the 75-year-old son Rishi.

Based on a Gujarati play bearing the same name and enacted by Saumya Joshi, “102 Not Out” - directed by Umesh Shukla is touted to be a wacky father-son relationship where a 102-year-old Big B is hell-bent to smash the record of being the oldest man in the world. However, he encounters a tricky situation; hilariously searching a way to modify his septuagenarian son’s cranky mannerisms. Therefore, he decides to pack him off to old age home. The story is interspersed with emotional drama.

Tagged - "Baap cool, Beta old school", the movie is also seen as promoting ‘gerontocracy’ by some in the world of story-spinners expected to open at Rs 2 crore.
