Salman turns down Asaram Bapu’s offer to share bed with him in Jodhpur jail!!!

Convicted superstar Salman Khan is lodged in barrack number 2 in Jodhpur jail where Asaram Bapu, too, is lodged, albeit in an adjacent cell which is separated from his by a curtain.

According to sources, the actor was provided normal jail food – Dal and roti, which is given to other prisoners there. When the superstar rejected the food, Asaram offered him to share food from a nearby Ashram meant for him. He however agreed but turned down his proposal to share bed with the Bapu.

The actor registered high blood pressure twice in the night which was immediately brought down by timely medical attention, the sources added.

However, the authorities have ordered constant medical monitoring of the actor.

 In retrospect…

Yesterday, the Bollywood’s Dabang – Salman Khan was seen in his mellowed avatar after the Jodhpur Session court had convicted him for killing two blackbucks on October 2, 1998 in Kankani village in Jodhpur during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. He has been sentenced to five-years in jail with Rs 10000 fine. However, his lawyers have decided to appeal against the verdict in the Rajasthan High Court.

Judgment: A shocker for many

The judgment has shocked many, while others hailed it with cliché such as - ‘victory of truth over falsehood’ and ‘ultimately justice delivered’.

Many tweeteratti are surprised over his sentence as the six other co-accused, including Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Sonali Bendre and Tabu those who were let off by the court.

Reactions of varied shades started trickling in as soon as the news of the verdict became viral:.

Chandrakant Ashok Mokal, actor and entrepreneur believes, “The case has been pending since over two decades. Why is this procrastination in delivering justice?”

Jayant Chavarkar, businessman, rues “justice is always delayed here which involves exorbitant money as court and lawyers’ fees including other expenses which are necessary to conduct court cases. For hoi polloi, it is next to impossible to bear such huge expenses.

Had this been with any commoner, there wouldn’t be such huge reaction and the case would be a low-key affair.”

Story-teller Subhash Ghai tweeted, “I am extremely shocked to hear @BeingSalmanKhan being convicted by session court but also having full trust in Indian judiciary which has many other doors to appeal for final justice whatsoever. Since, he is most loved person by industry N people for his human reasons too.”
