John Abraham’s Parmanu - The Story of Pokhran: History relived; to hit theaters on May 25!

The much hyped movie – Parmanu, is inspired by a nuclear test in the sandy expanse of Rajasthan’s Pokhran in 1998 during prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s tenure.

John Abraham plays a junior civil servant in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), who is roped in to lead a military expedition.Diana Penty is playing the female lead and also the part of the mission.

An action thriller, the movie is all set to release across India on Friday, May 25. People are waiting anxiously with their fingers crossed to watch the portrayal of historic event – that has placed India in the league of global nuclear powers.

Talking to media persons sometime back, John said he was planning to do an action movie which would be the ‘mother of all action movies’. The statement has raised hopes in the movie buffs, though many rebuffed - calling it an overstatement.

Looking back to his past films, one nonetheless agrees to the fact that the Bollywood hunk has stamped presence in the action genre with his robust performances.  Besides this, the star has entertained audience through masala movies too, such as – Dostana and Garam Masala in the past – thus proving his comfort level for diverse roles. John has ultimately emerged as a seasoned actor who is endowed with an ability to hop from one character to the other with natural ease.

The film, effervescent, all the way, with patriotism, was to hit silver screens in December 2017, but got entangled in legal tangle. Now it is all set to sizzle theaters on May 25.
