‘Ma’ Rita Bhaduri passes away!

An actress who essayed a wide-spectrum of roles during her memorable stint in Bollywood has left for heavenly abode early in the morning on Tuesday, July 17. Rita Bhaduri –  who played the affable mothers and doting sisters to many big names in the film industry in her recent movies and TV soaps, is no more among us. And with her exit a big void has been created which is difficult to be filled by any similar gifted actor. She was merely 62.

 

It was current blockbuster ‘Raazi’ actor Shishir Sharma who first broke the news through his Facebook account.  Turning emotional, he said, “We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East. Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma…”

 

She played wide-ranging roles on silver screens and TV serials and skillfully managed to pull audiences of varied tastes. In her career that spilled over to three decades in the world of films and television industry, the seasoned actress worked in over 70 movies like Raja, Julie, Beta, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, and over two dozens TV soaps including Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Choti Bahu, Kumkum, Khichdi and many others.

 

Her latest soap: ‘Nimki Mukhiya’ aired by Star Bharti drew accolades and appreciation by audiences and critics alike.  The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East.
