‘The Legend of Peacock’: Atul Garg blends Hollywood with Bollywood; shoots ghats of Varanasi

The shooting of an upcoming ‘Hollywood’ movie ‘The Legend of Peacock’ is underway in the holy city of Varanasi. Atul Garg – the storyteller had shot scenes at prominent ghats on the bank of river ganges: Assi Ghat and Manikarnika Ghat recently.

While the shoot was in progress at Manikarnika Ghat, 35 dead bodies were cremated there! The credit for managing it under such tricky circumstances goes solely to Atul Garg and his robust crew.

Garg says he is contemplating to produce the film in ‘Hin-Glish’ and plans to release it in Hollywood as well. He adds that this film is itself a novel experimentation where the two leading cinema industry of the world, Bollywood and Hollywood would blend, albeit uniquely.

The Muhurat was done at Guleria Ghat by Minister of State (Independent charge, U.P. Govt.) Anil Rajbhar. He was accompanied by Ayodhya MLA Ved Prakash Gupta and Varanasi MLA Saurabh Shrivastva.

Produced by the Eternal films Pvt. Ltd., the movie was shot at various real locations of the city and roped in local artists.

The next schedule is slated to be shot in the USA and Turkey. The movie has a mix of Hollywood and Bollywood cast: Tammy Bartaia, Tim Bruce, Ashima Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Abbas Khan besides others.

Atul sounds upbeat when he says, “Through the film I’m doing a new experiment for the Bollywood industry which will make its foray into Hollywood.”
